Galvan Honored as Track Athlete of the Year

Wheaton High School senior Bubba Galvan was recently honored as the Class 1 Track and Field Athlete of the Year by the Southwest Cross Country Coaches Association (SWCCCA). The association recognizes athletes in both cross country and track and field in the southwest portion of the state. Bubba received the Aldo Sebben Award for winning the long jump, triple jump, 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles at the Missouri State Track and Field Championships in Jefferson City in May. He was recognized during the SWCCCA cross country meet at Nixa. Aldo Sebben was a longtime coach at Southwest Missouri State University ( now Missouri State University) in Springfield.
